THE EXPERIENCE SALTWATER CHARTERSPRINCE RUPERT, BC |

Welcome to our new Testimonials page! We are very excited to hear about the fishing trips our clients had and would love to let the world know about it. If you want to have your own comments posted on this page, drop us a line at mo_shaw@telus.net and we would love to place them on the site!Thu 15/11/2007 7:50 PMAs you know we started off with the one day trip booked from Ft. St. John not really knowing what to expect let alone how the kids would handle being on the ocean for that long. Although we never really caught huge amounts of fish we did catch enough for us to have all year long. The kids spoke about the trip to everyone they met, about how Mo took us fishing in the ocean. This was by far one of the trips they were really excited about. Once the trade show had arrived in John for the second year all the kids could talk about was going to buy another trip with Mo. They get very attached and will never forget the experience they had. When the day came to load the trailer and start the voyage everyone was very tired and excited all at the same time. The kids were so excited to be on your boat again. I must say that with each trip we take we learn a new way to plan the trip. For instance the first year with only one day we really could not fish for everything because of the time allotted as well as the time of year. The second year was two days and we learnt so much from you and the kids were never more excited than when you took us to the rock fish. This is something they will talk about until July 1 2008. Danyelle was also very proud to have caught the largest Halibut. My only complaint with the owner of the boat is that he lost at least 5 of my salmon but never seemed to lose any of my wife's. :) Oh ya and the fact that Mo would always put my side of the boat on the (skate) side. Very funny, next year I will bring my own fishing line so I can just cut it off. Way too much work trying to reel those in. Mo, we really are thankful for all the fun, excitement, family time, and knowledge that you gave to us. We will be there next year for the third time and this time we are going to bring my mom and dad. They are really excited to come with us next year. With all the fish that were caught we are finding that we have to give an awful lot away to friends, which is nice but I think next year we will have to go for size not numbers although Christy might change my mind. Thank you for the trips, see you next year, and by all means keep in touch. Shaine Tower Thu 01/11/2007 2:33 PMI have been thinking about our two days together in August and realize just how good they were. The two days of almost flat water were unusual but the hard work of landing fish was extra tough. It has been hard figuring out how one can be so laid back and working your buns off at the same time. But we did!As you know I had to buy two extra coolers for a total of three to take all of the fish back to kelowna. I called the meat processor guy in Kelowna from Smithers Thursday afternoon on the way and he said to bring then all to him. When I got there early Friday evening he was waiting and started to work on them. Later they told me that all fish were in really good condition and did not even smell fishy in his shop. When he got done, there were so many packages I had to buy another freezer to hold them all. I have had a give away program going to look after my friends and neighbors but still have some fish left. I'll sign off for now and hope you have a good winter and successful season next year. Maybe we can do another trip some time! Bob Wiseman Thu 13/09/2007 10:49 AMHello Mo, We have arrived safely back in Kelowna after a fabulous journey. Your business is correctly named "The Experience" as our trip was more than a fishing trip, it was an experience of which your personal manner and style contributed in a huge way. Erin and Peter are still talking about the whales and who lost the biggest fish. I hope we will be able to arrange another visit with you in the near future. Thank you for providing an "Experience". Good luck to you and have an excellent off season with your family . Sincerely, Everett, Peter, Stewart and Erin Wed 22/08/2007 11:50 AMHi Mo and Nicole, just got home last night from Rupert and we talked alot on the way home about how great the whole experience was with Mo on his boat. The great scenery with Indian Head rock on the third day was beautiful. I have never caught so many species of fish in my life. Jack, Bob, and Brian had a great time. Brian was a little sore after that fight with the 60 lb. halibut. Whale watching was great but we didn't look at them because Mo said it was an extra $150.00 per person if we had seen a whale. Mo was just pulling our leg though...good kidder that guy! What more can I say..the trip was perfect..Mo was perfect...the boat was perfect. As soon as we cleaned and bagged our fish on the third day, I immediately booked our days for next year. Cannot wait to go again. Thanks for the awesome time..talk to you soon. Reagan D. or R&R ( as Mo would call me). Mon 20/08/2007 8:04 PMHello Mo, WOW what a fishing trip! Not only did we catch (and miss) plenty of fish, but we also had plenty of laughs as well. We are already in the process of planning dates for our trip next year aboard your boat. Before we return we hope to have learned a few things: 1. There is a difference between a SNAP and pull . 2. We are not shooting a moose and we will keep our rod tips up. 3. "Reel, Reel, Reel" actually means "Reel, Reel, Reel". 4. When you say "you can, but I wouldn't" actually means "Don't". However, when we return next year you will need to know how to wire a 4-way switch and weld anything from the crack of dawn to a broken heart. Once again thanks for a fantasti c trip and an unforgettable experience. Snuffy, Jason, Clayton, and Todd The Albertans p.s. Let us know if you need more of that good ole Alberta dirt for your vegetable garden on your boat. Thu 19/07/2007 8:02 PMThanks for the great “Experience”! Jason and I had a great time, and so did all the guys on all three boats. But we all new which one was the #1 boat. Yours is definitely the “Cadillac of Charters” as the picture represents. All the best to you both, Mo and Nicole. John Mon 02/07/2007 10:46 PMMy brother is already wanting to go again next year so hopefully we will be booking for the same time next year. Morgan had the time of his life, he said it was the best holiday he's ever had in his life. Thanks again for a memorable trip Mo, my freezer is packed with fish for another year! I hope to see you next summer and will probably be around to visit you at the trade show again. Best Regards, Mark,Travis,Leon and Morgan. Thu 21/06/2007 7:14 PM Mo, Mo Mo, Fri 09/06/2006 1:50 PMHi Mo & Nicole, Just a quick note to let you know that we got home safely and have been packaging fish non-stop and to thank you for “The Experience”, it was incredible! I thought we had a lot of fish in the 4 foam coolers and the one large marine cooler we brought but it really hit home when we started to package them for freezing. Tom and Kim had a trip to remember for a lifetime and are looking forward to next summers trip to fish with Mo. Shelly proved once again that she is the Queen of Fishin at our house with the 94 lb. Halibut. To see Kimmy and Tom fighting fish in some cases almost as large as they were was great for me to see and even better they didn't quit on us! Thanks again for “The Experience”, see you soon. Johnny K Thu 22/06/2006 11:42 AMHi Mo and Nicole. Arrived home late last night with a tired and bruised body and 3 boxes of fish that traveled better than any of my previous trips to Prince Rupert. Dolly's did a great job of packaging and protecting all the beautiful salmon, halibut, and ling cod fillets. What can I say about the trip other than "What a great Experience!!". To come to one of the most beautiful parts of BC, see Orca and Humpback whales, literally hundreds of eagles, fish with the best fisherman in the area, and catch quality fish of 6 different species is only a pleasure. Of course, catching the fish of a lifetime wasn't too shabby either. 121 pound halibuts are a lot of work, but boy was that fun!!!!!!!! Anyway, it's also great to fish with someone I consider to be a good friend!!! Thanks again, Mo. I look forward to doing it again in a year or so. Paul Sat 24/06/2006 12:55 AMIt was an incredible trip, once in a life time, tell Mo again we are forever grateful for his patience and Tabitha will keep this memory for the rest of her life, as we all will. Once again, tell Mo thanks ever so much, it really is a fish story that will be told for generations and a priceless memory. Tom Sun 13/08/2006 12:08 AMMo Well now we know where you came up with your vessel's name "The Experience". We are truly grateful for your hard work and the great memories that we have made on this trip. We will be sending you the video soon and we have just 3 more words for you REEL! REEL! REEL! Thank you for the awesome experience. See you next year! Mike, Gerald, Dave, & Chris.
Wed 16/08/2006 8:11 PMWOW. What an incredible experience you've given us. To see my father at 80 years old, first time ever ocean fishing, hauling in Coho after Coho was priceless. For Gloria and Josh the crab were a treasure. And to get a few halibut as well--you are an awesome guide and fish-finder. The trip was better than any of them could have imagined. And none of us will ever forget Gloria hauling up what you claimed would be an octopus--and then it actually was, a huge one at least six feet long!! And you somehow arranged great weather to boot. A totally wonderful and memorable day. Thank you for a super job. Marilynn, Jack, Gloria and Josh Fri 18/08/2006 4:57 PMJust a quick note to thank you again for the wonderful fishing trip. You really made our weekend! It took the 4 of us 7 1/2 hours to get all the fish vacuum sealed and into the freezer. If I gave fish to everyone who wants it we would need to book you for a charter. We really did enjoy ourselves, and we hope to get out that way again next year. If that is the case, you will be hearing from us again. Thanks, Mo. Keep in touch. Milt and Pat, Anit and Chuck Wed 30/08/2006 9:55 PM
Mo: My father has no computer and so asks that I send the following thank you on his and my family's behalf. Mo--Still savoring a fantastic day on the ocean. Highlites: Catching six fish-Jack. Double header and the octopus-Gloria. The 'surprise' crabs in the crab pots--all 18 of them-Joshua. A truly memorable day!! You've given Tom and I some delightful memories. Rest assured we will charter with you again. Hope your season is going well. Marilynn
